Engine Shutdown Procedure

1. Park the machine on a flat, level, stable surface away
from people, traffic, or other machines.
2. Retract the arm and bucket cylinders, then lower the
boom bucket to rest on the ground.
3. Run the engine at minimum speed for 5 minutes.
4. Turn the key switch (1) to OFF.
5. Turn the key switch to ON. Operate all functional
controls to relieve pressure on the systems.
6. Turn the key switch to OFF and remove the key.
7. Place the hydraulic lockout control lever (2) in the
locked (closed) position.
NOTICE!
Except for emergencies, never shut down the
engine while it is running at high speed.
Stopping the engine at high speed can damage
the machine or cause it to operate improperly.
