IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ AND SAVE THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT.
Read and follow all instructions contained in this manual before using the product. Failure to
comply with these instructions may result in personal injuries or damage to the unit or system.
1. Never expose eyes or skin to ultraviolet light from any source. Therefore, before installing or
performing maintenance on the unit or system, TURN OFF AND DISCONNECT the unit or system
from all power sources (there may be more than one switch to disconnect).
CAUTION: Electrical shock may cause personal injuries or possibly death.
2. When installing or performing maintenance on the UV unit or system, it is recommended to wear
safety glasses and gloves. In order to avoid reduced performance of lamp(s), do not touch lamp
glass without gloves.
3. UV lamps contain a small quantity of mercury: if a lamp breaks, clean and dispose of with care. UV
lamps can be disposed/recycled after use, as any other fluorescent lamps. Contact and follow your
local and national authorities’ specific instructions.
4.
Use only specified SANUVOX branded replacement UV lamps with your unit or system.
Use of
any other lamps will void your warranty and can result in damage to the unit, system and/or lamp(s).
5. UV rays may destroy certain types of filters (polymer or plastic); please keep the unit or system light
away from shining directly on plastic.

What’s included
The S300 MED2, a MERV9 prefilter, a HEPA filter, a UV GX lamp, castors (4), long 8-32 screws (4), short 8-32 screws (4), 8-32 nuts
(8), the access door for the lamp (white metal plate) and a basic installation kit.
The installation kit includes: a pair of cotton gloves, a 3-prong power cord (6') and self tapping 8/32 x 1/2 screws for the front plate (6).
Step by Step Setup & Installation
1.
Take your unit out of the packaging and place it upside down so that you can access the bottom of the unit.
2.
Open the filter and motor access door
of your S300 unit: this is the large square door closed by the big black clamp.
3.
Install your unit castors:
temporarily lift the foam to reach inside the unit and screw the front castors first. Screw the (2) front
castors with (4) long 8-32 screws and (4) 8-32 nuts per castor. Use a 9 mm or 11/32" wrench and Phillips No.2 screwdriver.
4.
Then, in the same way, screw the (2) back castors with (4) short 8-32 screws and (4) 8-32 nuts per castor.
With the castors now installed, remove the masking tape from the castors and turn your unit right side up.
5.
Check the filters (2):
If they are covered with plastic wrap, be sure to unpack them before continuing.
6.
Under the HEPA filter is the cardboard sleeve containing the UV lamp.
Carefully slide the UV lamp out from the cardboard
sleeve.
Be sure to wear the cotton gloves (included) ensuring the lamp is free from fingerprints.
NOTE: Fingerprints on the lamp will negatively impact the UV output of the lamp.
7.
While holding the UV lamp by its porcelain end-cap, slide it into the rectangular opening in the back of the unit (above the filter
and motor access door).
8.
Carefully push the white connector onto the four pins. The plug is designed so it can only be installed one way. You may have to
rotate the socket 90° to line up the pins with the holes. The connector will fit into position.
NOTE: Too much force applied from the opposite end-cap may break the lamp.
9.
Then, slide the porcelain tip through the retention clamp.
NOTE:
Make sure the lamp is horizontal in this section and not touching the metal walls.
10. Take the access door for the lamp from the supplied accessories and position it over the rectangular opening. Secure the
plate in place with the 6 screws provided for this purpose.
11.
Close the filter and motor access door
of your S300 unit.
12. Roll your unit in place and always leave a 2" minimum clearance space between the unit front (where the air inlet and outlet are)
and any wall. Make sure you have a power outlet nearby to plug the unit into.
Your new S300 MED2 is now ready to operate.
