CONTROLLING WATER VOLUME TO THE HYDRO-CYCLONE
Optimal particle separation from the Hydro-cyclone (HYD) requires adjusting the water
flow control ball valve (BV). The flow of water through the Hydro-cyclone also affects
the volume of water for the automatic purge system since the purge water is taken off the
clean water discharge of the Hydro-cyclone to reduce clogging of the purge system from
debris in suspension.
With the water pump running and the Water Butterfly Valve (WBV) closed, adjust the
Flow Control Ball Valve (BV) until 43 to 45 PSI is shown on the Water Pressure Gage
(WPG4).
