Phantom Center
Simulates the sound from the center speaker using the left and right speakers.
Stereo
Produces standard stereo sound from the front speakers only.
To select a listening mode option:

Highlight the Sound icon and press ENTER.

Highlight Listening Mode and press ENTER.

Highlight the listening mode you desire (Dolby Surround, Dolby 3 Stereo,
Phantom Center, or Stereo). Press ENTER.
You will hear the effect of the listening mode you chose. Repeat steps 1 – 3 until
you are satisfied with your listening mode selection.

When you finish, press EXIT to exit the menu.
Adjusting Multitrack
The multitrack options will be different depending on whether the HDTV is
receiving an analog or a digital channel.
• If you receive a digital channel,
the multitrack options will allow you
to select the audio track language you would like to hear. The languages
available will be listed in the Select Multitrack menu.
• If you receive an analog channel, you can choose to listen to Stereo,
Mono, or Secondary (secondary audio programming).
Secondary Audio Programming is included with some analog channel programs.
This second track may contain a translation of the first audio track into another
language. The Secondary Audio Programming option is available for analog
channels only.
Digital signals are not limited to two audio tracks; if a digital
channel broadcasts a program in five different languages, for
example, you can choose any one of those languages through
the Select Multitrack menu.
To select a multitrack option:

Highlight the
Sound
menu and press ENTER.

Select Multitrack
and press ENTER.

Highlight the multitrack option you desire:
If you receive a digital signal,
press ENTER
repeatedly until the available language option you desire
is displayed.
If you receive an analog signal, highlight either Stereo ,
Mono or Secondary .

Press EXIT to exit the menus.
NOTE
You can quickly change the
multitrack setting while
viewing your HDTV.
When viewing:
•an analog channel, press
MTS repeatedly on the
remote control to choose
Stereo, Mono or SAP.
•a digital channel, press
MTS repeatedly until the
audio track language you
desire is displayed. The
display will disappear in
3 – 4 seconds and the
multitrack will be set.
