Backlight
The backlight illuminates the display and the keypad.
When you press any key or open the folder, the
backlight turns on and remains on for a given period
of time, depending on your setting in the
Back Light
menu (
Menu 9.1.5)
. When no keys are pressed, the
display dims and turns off after one minute to
conserve your battery power.
To specify the length of time the backlight is active,
set the
Back Light
menu

(Not Shown) Appears when you are out of your
home area and have logged onto a different
network; for example, when traveling in other
countries.
(Not Shown) Appears when a new multimedia
message has been received.
(Not Shown) Appears when the Call Forwarding
feature is activated.
(Not Shown) Appears when Mute mode is active.
