program runs from a Web page, it is called a
Java
applet
. When it is run on a mobile phone or pager, it
is called a MIDlet.
MMS (Multimedia Message Service)
A message service for the mobile environment,
standardized by the WAP Forum and the 3rd
Generation Partnership Program (3GPP). For phone
users, MMS is similar to Short Message Service (SMS)-it
provides automatic, immediate delivery of user-
created content from phone to phone. The message
addressing used is primarily phone numbers, thus the
traffic goes from phone to phone. MMS also provides
support for e-mail addressing, so that messages can
be sent by e-mail. In addition to the text content of
SMS, MMS messages can contain still images, voice
or audio clips, and also video clips and presentation
information.
Multi-party Calling
Ability to establish a conference call involving up to
five additional parties.
Phone Password
Security code used to unlock the phone when you
have selected the option to lock it automatically
each time it switches on.
PIN (Personal Identification Number)
Security code that protects the phone against
unauthorized use. The PIN is supplied by the service
