alert options
This option allows you to choose how you
are informed of incoming call. You can
choose from these options:

Melody
The phone uses the ring tone selected
in the
Ring Tone
menu section.
■
Vibration
The phone vibrates but does not ring.
■
Vibra+Melody
The phone vibrates three times and
then begins to ring.
■
Light only
Only the backlight is switched on and
the phone neither rings nor vibrates.
Note:
When the
Light only
function is
selected there is no indication on the
display that this function is active. To
deactivate

adjusting keypad tone
Using this option you can select the sound
the keypad generates when you press a
key. Use shortcut

be given three options.

Off
The keys do not make any sound.
■
Tone
Each key, when pressed, makes a
different sound.

Beep
Each key, when pressed, makes the
same sound.

You can select how the phone informs you

The service light in the top right hand
corner of the phone flashes.

Single Beep
The phone beeps once

SMS Tone 1-10
There are ten text message tone
options to choose from.
error tone
You can select how the phone informs you

Off
The phone does not beep.

On
The phone beeps to indicate an invalid
entry.
connection alert
You can set your phone to alert you when
the person you are calling answers the
phone. Use shortcut

tones (1-20) using the
key. Each
one of these will play for a few
seconds.

To choose your desired ring tone

You will be returned to the ring tones
screen where the ring tone you have
chosen will be listed.
Tones 19 and 20 correspond to ring
tones you can compose yourself.
composing ring tones
This option allows you to compose your
own melody to use as a ring tone. Three
octaves are available and a maximum of
100 notes can be entered.

the note. The length of each note can

Enter a title for the melody. You will
then be asked if the melody is to be
used as the new ring tone. To use the
