Multiple Copies
This option area has a control for the copies option. Set the desired value by typing
in a number, clicking the Up and Down Arrows with the mouse, or using the
keyboard Up and Down Arrows to increase or decrease the number. The page
icons next to the spin box indicate that multiple copies will be printed uncollated.
Orientation
The orientation refers to the position of the image displayed on your screen with
respect to the printed pages.
This option area has two radio buttons: Portrait (tall) and Landscape (wide).
Default Font
The Default Font option area has a set of three Drop-down menus:
Font, Symbol Set and Characters/Inch (Point Size).
A font is a group of characters and symbols with similar characteristics.
Symbol set means a unique subgrouping of the available alphabetic, numeric, and
special characters in a font.
The PCLEFP supports the HP LaserJet series II internal fonts and symbol sets, the
Microsoft Z1a font/symbol cartridge set, and 19 International Standards
Organization (ISO) symbol sets.
The fonts are listed in the Font Drop-down menu in alphabetical order.
Point size maximum is 72 points per inch.
For PCL Emulation, you can select any one of the items available in the list as the
default font. Each of these Drop-down menus is related to the others. The font that
you select determines the list of available symbol sets.
Port Drop-down Menu
The currently selected port name and redirection are displayed in the Port Drop-
down menu. Selecting the DOWN ARROW displays a list of all available parallel
ports with Microsoft Windows Printing System software installed.
Redirected network ports are not shown.
