Setting TalkBack
This device features TalkBack, which is especially designed for the visually impaired. With
TalkBack, the device can read aloud information, such as messages and notifications, and
provide voice feedback about your selections. Turn on TalkBack and the Explore by touch
feature.
This feature may not work with some applications or features, such as
Smart screen
,
Palm motion
, or
Assistant menu
.

On the Home screen, tap
Apps
→
Settings
→
My device
→
Accessibility
→
TalkBack
.

Drag the
TalkBack
switch to the right, and then tap
OK
when the pop-up window
appears.

Tap
OK
when the pop-up window that asks you to turn on Explore by touch appears.
If the pop-up window does not appear, on the
TalkBack
screen, tap
Settings
→
Explore
by touch
.
Alternatively, press and hold the Power button until the device vibrates. Then, tap and hold
the screen with two fingers until you hear the confirmation.
Setting the TalkBack shortcut
Set the device to activate or deactivate TalkBack when you press the Home button three
times.
On the Home screen, tap
Apps
→
Settings
→
My device
→
Accessibility
→
Direct access
→
TalkBack
.

Add a shortcut to
Accessibility
on the quick menu that appears when you press and hold the
Power button.
