Before using the terminal

Initial settings 

When you turn the terminal ON for the first time after purchasing, 
follow the onscreen instructions to make settings for language, 
Google/Galaxy account, etc. and initial setting for docomo service.
Operation steps may vary depending on connection to network, 
omitting the setting, etc.

•  To change the language, tap "日本語 (Japanese)" → "English".

•  To change accessibility, tap "Accessibility" → Make Accessibility 

settings.

•  From here on, follow the onscreen instructions to configure the 

following, tap "NEXT".

•  Wi-Fi

•  Terms and conditions

•  Add your account

•  Google services

•  Name

•  Protect your phone

appears, mark "Agree to all" → "NEXT"

•  From here on, follow the onscreen instructions to configure the

•  The Home screen wizard appears. Tap "Next" → "Next" → "Do not 

show again"/"OK" to displays the Home screen.

Information

•  Some functions can be changed after you have set them up.
•  Before setting up online services, check that the terminal can transmit 

data (LTE/3G/GSM) or that the terminal is connected to a Wi-Fi 
network.

•  While you can use the terminal without setting up a Google account, 

Google services, such as Gmail and Google Play, cannot be used.

Display and icons 

In the status bar at the top of the display, icons which indicate the 
terminal status or notification information are displayed. Notification 
icons appear on the left side of status bar, and status icons appear 
on the right side of status bar.
