Upgrade instructions
Step 1.
If you are just taking the DVD-HD841
out of the box, please connect the
unit to your TV using the Composite
video connection, see Figure 1. If you
have already connected the unit to
your TV and have successfully
configured the DVI output prior to this
upgrade, skip to Step 2.

Reason for upgrade:
Samsung has issued
this upgrade to simplify the DVI output setup
procedure. After this upgrade is performed, the
DVD-HD841’s DVI output will be enabled
automatically when a DVI cable is connected
between the DVD-HD841 and a TV.

Step 2.
Open the Disc Tray by pressing the
open/close button, then insert the software
Upgrade disc.

Close the Disc Tray.
After the disc loads, you will then see the u
screen shown in Figure 3. The word “Total” wi
be highlighted.
