6.3  Single Line Telephones (Figure 6-2) 

 
The DCS-816 system has four (4) SLT interfaces to which conventional telephones or OPX lines 
can be connected.  The system requires MDF connection for single line telephones and all connec-
tions can be done through the RJ-45 connector on the base board.  See Figure 2-3 and refer to 
section 2.5 (MDF Cabling). 
 
Use one pair twisted wires and connect each telephone to the SLI port of your choice via the RJ-45
