Time broadcast Gateway time synchronized with connected Modbus RTU devices
The interval is 24 hours. The devices must support the time
broadcast command (45Hex) to use this function.
Gateway address Modbus address of the gateway for addressing and communication
The address allows access to gateway data (e.g. utility meters con-
nected over M-Bus) over Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU.
A Modbus address (gateway or controller) in a communication path
or a communication network must be unique.
7.6.4 TCP forwarding
This function allows the forwarding of
Modbus RTU requests (e.g. over
Modbus TCP server, web portal, UART
interface) to the configured Modbus TCP
server. In the expert mode of the
Configurator tool, Modbus TCP devices
that can be reached (e.g. Modbus TCP
gateway or a TROVIS
5578-E
Controller) can be listed in the 'TCP
forwarding' tab. The IP address and the
corresponding station address are used
for assignment.
After the gateway receives a Modbus request at one of the assigned station address, the re-
quests are forward to the correspondingly defined Modbus TCP server.
