7.6.3 Modbus
The settings for the Modbus RTU inter-
faces (RS-232, RS-485 and TTL) are
made in the 'Modbus' tab.
Baud rate Transmission rate for the RS-232, RS-485 or TTL interfaces
Timeout Time in milliseconds that the gateway waits for the Modbus
interfaces to respond (request/response communication)
The recommended value is 1000 ms = 1 s.
Values that are too low may lead to unwanted results. Write com-
mands often take significantly longer than read commands.
Frame format Extended Modbus protocol for the data communication with Se-
ries 5500 Heating Controllers
This setting accelerates communication and makes transmission
more reliable.
This function must be deactivated when other generic Modbus
devices and non-TROVIS heating controllers are used.
