5.8.
Avoidance of wear and damage
Follow the instructions below to avoid damage and excessive wear on your silage roller. These
notes relate in particular to the areas of maintenance, care and use.
Wear Parts
Certain parts of the device are subject to wear even under normal conditions of use and must
therefore be replaced in good time depending on the type and duration of use and stress.
WARNING:
Delayed replacement of wear parts can result in performance limitations,
increased risk of injury, and damage to parts that are not subject to wear.
Maintenance and Servicing
Adhere to the contents and time intervals given in Chapter 5.8. "Maintenance and Servicing",
providing the maintenance information.
Observe the specifications and whether you can carry out the activities yourself or have a trained
specialist conduct the work.
Failure to comply with maintenance requirements may result in damage and accidents for which
the owner and user are responsible.
These include (incomplete listing):

Damage caused by maintenance and repair work not carried out by the manufacturer SaMASZ.
❑
Damage due to the use of spare parts not approved by SaMASZ Manufacturer. This also applies to
consequential damage caused by unreleased spare parts.
Damage resulting from incorrect storage, transport and cleaning.
Compliance with the requirements of the operating instructions
Carefully comply with the instructions for use, transportation, maintenance and storage of this
manual as described in this manual.
All damage and consequential damage caused and caused by non-observance of the safety,
operating and maintenance instructions must be the responsibility of the user.
Especially highlighted here are:

Improper use of the machine.

Continued use of a damaged machine or a machine with damaged or defective parts
❑
Implementation of modifications not approved by manufacturer SaMASZ.
❑
Disregard of the use of lubricants not approved for this device by the manufacturer SaMASZ.
6.
WARTUNG UND INSTANDHALTUNG

The maintenance and repair work must always be carried out by suitably qualified persons.
❑
Pay attention to the originality of the spare and wearing parts.
❑
The execution of maintenance and cleaning work as well as the elimination of malfunctions are
only permitted when the motor is stopped and the ignition is switched off. An unintentional re-start
of motor and drive must be prevented.
❑
When welding on the machine, it must be completely decoupled from the carrier vehicle and placed
on a suitable surface.
