measurements based on the difference in electrical impedance of the individual tissues
and their relative contribution to the body.
Muscle contains about 90% water and adipose tissue 45% water. Therefore, the
percentage sum can exceed 100% and for this reason the measurements cannot be
added because both muscle and fat contain water.

Important notices:
•
If the scale is placed on an uneven or soft surface (e.g. carpet), inaccuracies in
weighing may occur (the scale may display higher or lower readings).
•
The use of body parameter analysis mode (i.e. barefoot weighing on sensors) is
not recommended:
o
pregnant women
o
people with an implanted pacemaker or other medical implant
o
people with symptoms of oedema (swelling)
o
persons undergoing d
ialysis treatment
Preparation for weighing
Warning:
The batteries are already inserted in the battery compartment at the factory. To
prevent the batteries from discharging during transport from the factory to the
customer, the batteries are protected by an insulating strip with the inscription
"REMOVE BEFORE USE", which must be removed from the battery compartment
before the first use by pulling it.
1.
After removing the insulating tape, place the scale on a flat, dry and hard
surface.
2.
The symbol "8888" will briefly appear on the display to indicate the
stabilization of the weighing sensors into weighing mode.
3.
After the display shows "0.0 kg", the weighing can start.
4.
If necessary, switch the units using the switch at the bottom of the scale (the
scale is factory set to metric units or weighing in kilograms).
5.
The measured weight remains on the display for 10 seconds even after
stepping off the scale.
Notes:
•
The scale is factory preset to weigh in kilograms (the "kg" symbol appears next
to the measured weight
on the display).
