Chapter 1 - Introduction
1.1
Product Introduction
This user manual includes the installation and configuration
and other relevant information for the SMART METER-3.
The SMART METER-3 includes three phase Meter and three
current transformers (CTs). This set of devices can be
combined with solar inverters to implement the power limit
control function.

2.1
Pre-Installation Checks
2.1.1
Checking the packaging
Although the SMART METER-3 has passed rigorous tests and
is checked before it leaves the factory, it is not excluded that it
may be damaged during transport. Please check whether the
packaging has shown obvious signs of damage and, if this
occurs, please do not open the package and contact your
dealer as soon as possible.
2.1.2
Checking accessories
Accessory items and number of items included can be found
in the label attached to the packaging. Please check and
contact your dealer if there are any missing accessories
2.2 Instructions for installing the SMART METER-3
2.2.1
Connection twisted-pair cable with RS-485 connector
Installer has to autonomously choose a twisted-pair cable,
extract Meter from the box and get the RS-485 connector
included with inverter. Connect an extremity of cable to
terminals 1 and 2 of RS-485 connector, then combine with
inverter through dedicated port.

Connect the other extremity of cable to terminals 24 and 25 of
Meter on relative slots according to scheme below:
2.2.2
Meter power connection and fixing
Connect the three phases to Ua, Ub and Uc inputs and the
neutral to Un input arranged on Meter. There are locking
hooks on the back of the Meter, through which it is possible to
fix the device on suitable sized guides (DIN 35mm). It is
