General Information
The SafeWaze
®
M2050 Recovery System is a portable, lightweight, high-strength confined space access and recovery system.
The major parts of the M2050, illustrated below, are the M10 Tripod, M10B-1 Tripod Mounting Bracket, and the 205G-(50, 75 or
100) 3 way unit.
The cast aluminum head (1) of the Tripod includes either two 5/8” diameter forged steel eyebolts (2), or two locking swivel hooks,
and locking leg hinge pins (3). The lengths of the three aluminum-telescoping legs can be adjusted using attached lock pins (4)
and locked into place with leg latch release(10). The cast aluminum Tripod feet (5) have rubber skid pads to limit movement on
slippery surfaces. A safety chain (6) provides secondary back up by preventing the legs from spreading. The 3-way unit 205G-50
(7) is mounted on the leg of the tripod using the M10B-1 (8) to allow retrieval of personnel, fall arrest function, and lowering of
personnel into confined spaces. Optional 142G Winch (9) fits on leg to allow material handling. It requires an additional pulley
and carabineer at the top for the line for it to go down in hole.
