Phoenix G2 IDU in-band MNG configuration

The example in

Figure 22

shows one of grouping configuration options for in-band

management. In the example management is accessible via all three LAN ports, and
management channel and user traffic will be passed over RF via WANb port. All those
ports (LAN1, LAN2, LAN3, MNG CPU and WANb) are grouped in Group 3.

Alarm configuration

The configuration of alarms affects the global status of the device. The colour of the
device icon in the header indicates system status, local side on the left, remote on the
right. Green color means OK, red – a major alarm, orange – a minor alarm and
green/orange – a historical invalidated alarm. It is recommended to use the default
major and minor alarm setting at the beginning of work with the system, as it helps
with quick and straightforward detection of a potential issue.

The alarm settings are crucial for proper Protection function and a general link
condition monitoring. Navigate to “Config

Alarms” to open Alarm configuration
