Design and mode settings

As the very first step, it is necessary to define in which configuration the device will
operate. Note that these settings affect the other configuration sections such as Ports,
Radio, and IP settings and therefore it should be done before any other settings. This
can be done in web GUI under Config->System->Mode:

Description of Design 505 (Single Mount Configuration)

This design type should be selected for applications where only one PhoeniX G2 IDU is
in use on each side of the link. It supports following Radio Duplex Modes:

Bidirectional

 - full duplex link with both Tx and Rx channels

Tx Only

 - half-duplex/simplex link with only Tx channel, automatic ACM

function should be off in this mode

Rx Only

 - half-duplex/simplex link with only Rx channel, automatic ACM

function should be off in this mode

Above mentioned radio duplex modes can be combined with following functional
modes:

1+0 Ch1

 - simple one channel end station which uses modem A (Channel 1)

1+0 Ch2

 - simple one channel end station which uses modem B (Channel 2)

1+0 Dual

 - the advanced 1+0 mode which separately uses both modems

(physical channels)

2+0

 - capacity aggregation mode which combines the capacity of both

physical channels

o

FD

 - frequency diversity configuration with frequency separation in

both physical channels

o

XPIC

 - Cross-polarization Interference Cancellation mode with

automatic attenuation of cross-polarized channel interference
