ENGINE STARTING PROCEDURE

WARNING: 

This Engine Starting Procedure is not a substitute 
for reading the operator’s manual. To reduce the 
risk of injury, user must read and understand 
operator’s manual before using this product.

First time use only:  Pour entire contents of ONE engine lubricant 
bottle into oil fill hole  using the funnel provided.
Later uses: Check engine lubricant level and add lubricant if needed.

Pull starter grip and rope until engine starts (6X max.) 
NOTE: If the unit has not started, return to step 3.

Set the throttle/cruise lever to IDLE. Do not squeeze the throttle 
to start a hot engine.

Allow the engine to warm for 10 seconds, SET choke lever to 
RUN.

PRESS and HOLD stop switch until engine stops.

SET choke lever to RUN.

Pull starter grip and rope until engine starts (6X max.)

SET throttle/cruise control lever to IDLE.

Pull starter grip and rope handle until engine attempts to start 
(4X max.)

SET choke lever to HALF choke.

SET choke lever to FULL choke.

Pour fresh gasoline into the fuel tank.

Slowly press the PRIMER BULB 10x or until fuel appears.
