Hardware Installation and Reference Guide Product Overview
series switches adopt fan ventilation and forced convection to ensure the device can work normally in specified
environment. Dust the device every three months to avoid blocking the ventilation openings.
The RG-S6220-48XT6QXS-H supports fan module M6220-FAN-F and provides fan speed regulation, fan failure
warning, and fan hot swapping.

Leave sufficient space in the front and at the back of the chassis (at least 20cm) for ventilation.
It requires at least two fan modules to work normally. Filler panels need to be installed in the unoccupied fan
module slots to ensure ventilation and heat dissipation and avoid dusts.
1.4 Module
The RG-S6220-H series switches adopt modularization design. Strictly complying with the industrial standard, the
system modules are reasonably subdivided and the module interfaces are unified. All these ensure that the
RG-S6220-H series switches system is complete and all modules are independent.
The RG-S6220-H series switches support the following modules:
M6220-AC460E-F, M6220-AC460E-R, M6220-FAN-F,
M6220-FAN II-F, and M6220-FAN II-R
.
1.4.1 M6220-FAN-F
The M6220-FAN-F is the fan module of the RG-S6220-H series. The M6220-FAN-F provides heat dissipation system
and ensures system stability. The M6220-FAN-F supports speed regulation and hot swapping.
