802.1X Commands
dot1x port-control
Configures 802.1x port control status.
Command Mode: Interface Configuration
Syntax
dot1x port-control {auto|force-authorized|force-unauthorized}
Description
■
{auto}
- Enables 802.1x authentication on the interface and causes the port to
transition betweem authorized or unauthorized states based on 802.1x authentication
exchanges between the server and the client.
■
{force-authorized}
- All traffic will be allowed without any restrictions (default).
■
{force-unauthorized}
- All traffic over the interface will be blocked other than some
BPDUs whose destination MAC is 01:80:c2:00:00:XX.
Example
!Sets port 5 control status to automatic (packet authorization required
for transmission).
