VLANs
VLANs
The Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) menu group configures a group of hosts with a
common set of requirements that communicate as if they were attached to the same
broadcast domain, regardless of their physical location. The switch supports up to 256
VLANs created simultaneously and multiple management VLAN configuration.
802.1Q Vlan
VLANs > 802.1Q Vlan
The 802.1Q Vlan sub-menu presents menu items that create, configure and display VLANs.
Create / Modify VLAN
VLANs > 802.1Q Vlan > Create/Modify VLAN
The Create/Modify VLAN menu item creates, configures and displays VLANs on the
system.
Create VLAN

VLAN ID:
Sets the port to configure. May be 2 to 4094. This option also allows you to
enable the VLAN as the management VLAN.
■
VLAN Name:
Sets the VLAN name. May be up to 32 characters.
■
Unit 1:
Sets the configuration setting for a VLAN. Allows you to select all or individual
ports as Un-tagged Member, Tagged Member, Forbidden, Not Member, Admin
Tagged only, and/or Set PVID to Current VLAN. Default Not Member (all ports).
VLAN Config:
Displays a list of VLANs and allows you to modify or delete them.
