Verifying Cable Modem Operation
To verify that the cable modem is operating normally, log on to the cable modem’s Web
interface.
1.
Obtain the IP address that is assigned to the cable modem. You can obtain this
information from the DHCP server at the CMTS.
2.
Connect the administrative computer to the same subnet as the CMAP.
3.
On the administrative computer, start a Web browser.
4.
In the address bar, enter the IP address that is assigned to the cable modem. The cable
modem web interface displays a login prompt.

blank.
6.
In

type
ADMIN
.
7.
Click
Log In
. The
Status
page appears.
8.
On the menu on the left sidebar, click
Connection
. The
Connection Status
