8.2.2.1 | Changing PPM and loudness parameters with one of the loudness modes selected
Many parameters of the PPM and Loudness bargraphs can be viewed or edited in the Channel Group, Sum Group and LRA
Group menus of the Loudness Settings menu.
NOTE - Having selected one of the loudness standards ITU BS.1771 , EBU R128 , ATSC A/85 , or ARIB , most loud-
ness parameters will be fi xed to the values recommended in that standard. If you prefer to edit those parameters individually,
select the
Custom loudness type instead.
Please proceed as follows to access these menus from normal display operation:
11. On the Sum Group menu page, the loudness parameters
used for the Sum Group bargraphs and any loudness
bargraphs of the channel group are shown. When a loud-
ness mode other than
Custom was selected, the most
parameters are read only.
12. Select the Close button to get back to the previous menu
page.
13. On the PPM + Loudness Settings menu page of the
selected standard, select the LRA Group button.
14. On the LRA Group menu page, the LRA bargraph para-
meters can be edited.
15. Select the Save & Exit button to store the changes and
leave the menu. The Save Preset menu page is displayed.
16. Select a User Preset of your choice to store your settings
in.
17. Use the Change name button to edit the preset name. A
keyboard display is shown to enter a new preset name (6
characters maximum).
18. Select the Save & Exit button again. All changes are
stored and the unit returns to normal operation.
1. Press MENU . The unit changes to menu mode.
2. Select the Edit selected preset button.
3. Select the Local Input/Output Routing and Instrument
Settings menu tab. The Local Routing Settings menu is
shown.
4. Select the Monitoring Input Routing button.
5. Open the Program Meter combo box.
6. Select ITU BS.1771 , EBU R128 , ATSC A/85 , ARIB or
Custom .
7. Select the PPM + Loudness Settings button of the
Monitoring Routing section.
8. On the PPM + Loudness Settings menu page of the
selected standard, select the Channel Group button to
edit this group‘s PPM parameters. With the
Bar Style
parameter, select your preferred display option for the
combination of PPM and loudness bargraphs.
9. Select the Close button to get back to the previous menu
page.
10. On the PPM + Loudness Settings menu page of the
selected standard, select the Sum Group button.
