Modbus TCP/IP Server Configuration
Click the
Modbus TCP/IP Server
button to access the configuration page.
1)
Enter a
Device Label
to identify the device within the gateway.
2)
TCP Port
: Enter in a TCP Port for the Modbus TCP Server to listen on. Default for Modbus TCP/IP
is 502.
3)
Unit ID
: This Unit ID must be unique for all Modbus TCP Server devices on the TCP network.
4)
Inactivity Timeout
: Amount of time the gateway will wait for a read/write request before
issuing a timeout.
5)
To enable data swapping, select the required
Swap Indicator
. If the bytes appear in the wrong
order, enable swapping to change the data. This swapping does
NOT
change Coils and their
ordering inside the Bit Pack.
6)
Bit Pack
: Select the formatting of the Coil Status/Input Status. Automap will use this packing size
to map coils to/from the other protocol. The bit pack selection here should match that of the
other protocol. The starting address is considered Bit 0 and is the low-order bit.
