8.2 Memory Channel Details
The Main window of the Programmer is for entering details for the "regular" memory
channels. These channels are for FM repeater details, details for weekly nets on HF
bands, and simplex frequencies where you meet your friends regularly on sideband.
Your DStar memory channels can be set up here with all the details to make those
worldwide contacts.
Channels can be entered in any order. You can put them all in one after the other.... put
them on separate "Band" sheets... you can skip lines between groups so you can see
your organization better when you look at the screen. The radio will display the blank
channels. No harm... just a blank channel.
Details to be entered for each memory channel include:
Receive Frequency
: Enter a receive frequency for the memory channel. Acceptable
frequencies are detailed in the operating manual for the radio. The software will accept
any frequency within the range of the radio. Unacceptable frequencies cannot be
entered into the Programmer.
Transmit Frequency : Enter a specific transmit frequency or let the Programmer
calculate this frequency based on the offset. Acceptable transmit frequencies are
detailed in the operating manual for the radio. The software will accept any frequency
within the range of the radio.
