14.2 Carburetor

internals

Aggregate to Dismantle /

Instructions

Drain  fuel  from  the

carburetor  bowl  by

loosening  the  drain

screw at the bottom of

the 

bowl, 

before

dismantling.

Hold  carburetor  in

inverted  position  and

remove 4 slotted head

screws along with spring

washers.

Gently  remove  bowl

assembly  from  body

along with rubber ring.

Loosen  and  remove

slotted  screw  holding

float pin to carburetor

body.

Gently  remove  float

assembly along with pin

and  needle  assembly

from carburetor body.

Remove float pin from

float assembly

Release float needle clip

from  the  tab  in  float

assembly  and  remove

float needle from float

assembly.

Holding  the jet  holder

with  a spanner loosen

and remove main jet

Loosen and remove jet

holder from carburetor

body.

CAUTION :

Fuel is extremely explosive

and highly inflammable.
Ensure there are no sparks,

open flames etc. nearby.
Drain fuel with care and do

not spill.
Dismantle carburetor only in

a clean and well ventilated

area.

CAUTION :

Ensure Needle jet does not

fall  out of the body  while

removing jet holder.
Remove  needle  jet  after

removing jet holder.
