that the lens does not hit the dome. There is a label with the camera “1800” number on the camera/lens
assembly; this marks the TOP of the camera. Make sure the camera/lens is installed so that the label is
on the top for proper video display. Refer to Figure 4.
Note: To assure a watertight seal, apply silicone sealant around the area where the base meets the wall or
ceiling. Vicon recommends Dow Corning® 737 neutral cure sealant or equivalent.

Camera Position Adjustments’
Cable Connections
Both power and video connections are made to the printed circuit board (PC board). Refer to Figure 5A
(coaxial and UTP versions) and 5B (fiber version) when performing these connections. Refer to the Coaxial or
Twisted Pair Cable Recommendations in the Reference section.
Video Cable
Coaxial
To connect video cables to the camera, attach a customer-supplied male BNC connector to the mating BNC
connector on the pendant cable on the camera power supply board. Refer to Figure 1.
Note: After mating the male/female BNC connectors, it is recommended that these connections be wrapped
with electrical tape to prevent shorts.
Twisted Pair
For the model using the twisted-pair video connection, use the twisted-pair video plug (provided in the
accessory kit). Strip off approximately 0.25 in. (6 mm) of insulation from each individual wire. Attach each wire
