SHORT INSTRUCTION MANUAL

AFP1

Smart device for air flow, humidity and temperature

General description

Congratulations on your purchase of a ROTRONIC AFP1 device. Please read these short operating
instructions carefully before putting the unit into operation. The document is limited to the descrip-
tion of the main features and the installation of the device.
The AFP1 probe measures, along with humidity and temperature, wind speeds of 0.5 to 20 m/s.

Dimensions

Initial start-up and power supply

Before the first operation, remove the insulation sticker, which is located in the battery compart

-

ment and protects the battery against self-discharge.
The AFP1 is powered by two CR2032 button batteries. When inserting or replacing the batteries,
place them on top of each other in the battery compartment slide (observing polarity).

Device Operation via multifunction key

The AFP1 features a multifunction button, which is located on the front, above the ROTRONIC logo.

The following functions are controlled via the button:
-  Switch on measure mode with auto power off after 5 minutes
-  Switch on measure mode permanently
-  Switch off

Home

The current measured values are displayed on the home
screen of the AFP1. Furthermore, you can reach different
sub-menus or features:
- Menu
- Device overview
- Picture mode
- Graphics mode
- Parameter settings
- Parameter units
- Data recording

AFP1 on the Smart Device

After commissioning of AFP1, the LED should light up green. The device is now switched on and
ready to perform measurements. To measure wind speeds, ensure that the wind turbine rotates

freely and the sign “AIR IN" points in the direction of the measured air flow.

Operation of the AFP1 device is done via the ROTRONIC smart-phone application “ROTRONIC” which
is available in the App Store (iOS) or in Play Store (Android) free of charge.
Use the app to display, log and send the desired measurement values by e-mail. Furthermore,

measurement-specific settings and options can be set.
