Note the following important points regarding the previous diagram:
• 32 external inputs are routed into two 16-input boards.
• The 4400AR-062 Video Input board has a 72 x 72 crosspoint matrix but functions as a
48 x 48 crosspoint matrix.
• The following signals are available from the crosspoint matrix to the Video Output
Boards:
~ up to 32 primary inputs
~ 3 Global-Store (and optional MediaCache)
~ 4 MLE-Store
~ up to 3 MLE PGMs
~ up to 3 MLE PVs
~ up to 3 MLE FlexiClean Clean Feeds
~ up to 2 MLE Look Ahead Previews
~ 1 Preview Overlay (“Preview Matrix”)
~ signals generated by the optional MultiDSKs DSK 3 and DSK 4 (DSK 1 and DSK 2
on the
Synergy 1 Q/MD )
~ processed Aux Bus feeds when the optional AuxKeys are activated
• Video is routed from card to card through the midplane.
• Most video connects via a central 48 x 48 crosspoint switch.
• An optional Squeeze & Tease MD Carrier has provisions for six optional modules,
which provides 4 channels per MLE of Squeeze & Tease MD functionality to two full
MLEs.
