Synergy 1 and Synergy 100 Maintenance Guide (v16-S1)
Installing the DVE Send Software Option
Use the following procedure to install the Software Option Registration Key for the
DVE Send
Option
:
1. Navigate to the
Software Options Menu
as follows:
•
Press
HOME
(to display the
Main Menu 1-2
).
•
MORE
(to display the
Main Menu 2-2
).
•
Setup
(to display the
Setup Menu
).
•
Installed Options
(to display the
Installed Options Menu 1-2
).
•
Software Options
(to display the
Software Options Menu
).
2. Press
Add Option
to display the
Add Option Menu
.
Add Option Menu
3. Call
Ross Video Technical Support
at the number listed on the menu.
4. When you speak to our Technical Support representative, tell them your name, your
facility name, the switcher’s serial number and the
Encrypt Code
as listed on the menu.
5. Tell the Technical Support representative that you wish to install the
DVE Send Option
.
Ross Video Technical Support keeps an up-to-date record of the configuration and
option status of each Synergy switcher.
6. You will be given a numeric code for the option to enter on the Synergy 1 switcher:
•
Enter the code using the keypad in the
Global Memory System Group
.
•
To complete the process, press
ENTER
on the keypad or press
Finished
on the
Option Number Menu
.
•
Once entered, the menu indicates “
Installed
,” and the system displays the
Software
Options Menu
to confirm.
This completes the procedure to install the Software Option Registration Key for the
DVE Send
Option
.
Operating
Tip
Before entering new option codes, save your current option settings to
a storage device. Refer to the section “
” on page 6–8 for details.
Important
In previous versions of Synergy 1 software, the
DVE Send
button was
used to control external DVEs. The default setting in version 14 or
higher system software is Internal. Refer to the section “
Setting Up
DVE Send
” in the
Synergy 1 Installation Guide
for information on
setting the functionality of the
DVE Send
button.
