Firmware Upgrades
The
Admin
tab provides controls for selecting and loading card firmware upgrade files. This
section outlines the firmware upgrade controls for your HDC-8223A(-S).
Firmware Upgrade Controls
Firmware upgrade controls allow a selected firmware version (where multiple versions can be
uploaded to the card’s internal memory) to invoke an upgrade to a selected version either
instantly, or set to install on the next card reboot (thereby allowing card upgrade downtime to be
controlled at a scheduled point in time). This ‘deferred upload’ allows scheduling a firmware
upgrade downtime event until when it is convenient to experience to downtime (uploads typically
take about 60 seconds).
To perform an immediate firmware upload
1.
Access a firmware upgrade file from a network computer by clicking
Upload
at the
bottom of DashBoard.
2.
Browse to the location of the firmware upgrade file.

Select the desired file and click

Important
— You cannot downgrade a card from version 1.75 to an earlier version.
Note
— Version 1.75 is not DataSafe compatible with prior versions of the firmware. Saved
configurations from versions prior to 1.75 cannot be loaded onto cards running version 1.75.
