PTP Menu
Very limited PTP configuration is possible from the front panel. Refer to “ PTP Option ” on page 145 for more
information.

The PTP configuration will be set to the current SMPTE recommended settings. Any adjustment of these settings
should only be made by a suitably qualified and authorized engineer.

This menu line allows to user to control whether the SRG-4500 is configured to be a PTP GrandMaster, a Multicast
PTP Follower, a Mixed Mode PTP Follower, or whether the PTP System is Off.
Definition for PTP Mode
The options in this menu line are:
• PTP System is Off
• PTP Follower is Multicast
• PTP Follower is Mixed Mode
• This is a PTP GrandMaster
PTP IP Address
Sets the required IP Address for the GbE PTP Ethernet port.
PTP Sub Mask
Sets the required Sub Mask for the GbE PTP port.
PTP Gateway
Sets the required Gateway address for the GbE PTP port.
PTP Restart
Select to choose to Restart PTP. Click and then rotate knob.
Domain
Sets the required PTP Domain (within the specified group of clocks in your network).
Priority 1
Set the required Priority 1 number (the first priority level during a Grandmaster election).
Priority 2
Set the required Priority 2 number (the secondary priority level during a Grandmaster election).
Alerts
Reports any alert messages.
Select Profile
Selects the required PTP Profile (timing standard) from: Default (IEE1588), SMPTE (SMPTE ST 2059-2), and
AES67.
