Orion X Installation and Operations Manual

2. Put the matrix into Service Mode upon request in the pop-up window or through

Matrix > Activate

Service Mode

in the menu bar.

Note:

During Service Mode, all matrix functions are disabled on the I/O boards on which updates are

being performed. An OSD notice indicating that the I/O boards were placed in Service Mode is

displayed on all monitors connected to the matrix through a CON device. Additionally, the Service

Mode is indicated by a red tool icon in the lower part of the working area of the Java Tool.

3. Start the update by clicking the

Update

button in the lower part of the working area.

4. Quit Service Mode after updating by responding to the confirmation request in the pop-up window or

through

Matrix > Deactivate Service Mode

in the task area.

5. After the update, verify through the Java Tool that the updates for all extenders have been installed

correctly. This is done in

Administration > Update EXT Firmware

from the

Protocol

tab of

Expert
