This Speech Therapy tool will store up to 10 seconds of instruction, sound or music. The user
simple touches the black switch to activate the pre-recorded message. New recordings can be
made as often as needed with just the touch of a button. Made from high impact plastic with a
shatter proof mirror, this therapeutic device features a volume control and an on/off switch.
SET UP
1. Turn the switch over to locate the battery compartment.
2. Observing the polarity indicated, install two AA batteries. Alkaline batteries are
recommended as they last longer.
3. Place the base unit on a flat surface in front of the person to be using the mirror. Remove
the protective film from the mirror then position the mirror into the channel on the base so
that it will stand on its own. The mirror should lean back slightly in the holder, away from the
user.
RECORD AND PLAYBACK
Turn on by rotating the volume on/off knob in a clockwise direction. As you continue to turn the
knob, the volume of the playback will increase.
To Record
Press and hold the Black switch Pad and the Red record button at the same time. While holding
down both switches, speak clearly at least
30cm (12”) from the microphone (the microphone is
located between the on/off/volume control and the red record button). Release both buttons
when you have finished recording.
To play back
Simply touch the black oval switch pad on the front of the unit. The entire pre-recorded message
will play back. Adjust the volume control as necessary.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. When not in use for long periods of time, please remove the batteries or leakage may occur.
2. The non-slip rubber trim on the base contains latex and should not be used with individuals
who are sensitive to latex proteins.
3. The base unit can be wiped down with a mild disinfectant as needed. Do not immerse the
base unit. The Acrylic mirror may be wiped with a soft cloth and non-abrasive glass
cleanser.
