DisposableSling is intended for short-term use. It is easy for the caregiver to apply and it gives the patient a feeling of
security. It features leg sections, which means that the patient does not sit on the sling. Instead, the sling provides sup-
port from the tailbone, up over the head and under the legs. DisposableSling is made of a durable, disposable material,
which means that it cannot be laundered. Instead, the sling is discarded when it becomes soiled or when the patient no
longer needs it.

DisposableSling is available in different sizes and is one of a series of several sling models. The choice of model and
material is determined by the patient’s functional capacity and the situations in which the product is to be used.

RoMedic’s slings and lifts are part of the SystemRoMedic concept, which takes a holistic approach to patient transfers.
SystemRoMedic comprises four product areas: transfer, positioning, support and lifting.

Visual inspection

Check the condition and function of the sling regularly. The sling must not be used if it has been laundered. Check to
ensure that the fabric is not worn, damaged or bleached. If there are signs of wear, the product must be discarded.

Read instructions for all assistive devices used in connection with transfers.
Choose the sling size carefully so as to prevent discomfort and the risk of the patient sliding out of the sling. If the sling is too
large, there is a risk that the patient may slide out of it.
Do not leave the patient unattended during a lifting situation.
Apply the sling’s back loops before applying the leg support loops. Always use an approved slingbar.
