Set Height Position of Media (Manual)
Set the media’s height position manually to a position suitable for printing.
Manual setup takes a little longer than the automatic setup because alignment is done by sight, but use it
when you do not want to let the head gap sensor to touch the media. (The head gap sensor touches the
media in automatic setup.)
* If the print surface is uneven, there is a limit to the area of unevenness.

Procedure
Secure the media in place on the flat table.

Close the front cover.
Press [SETUP].
[SETUP] starts to flash.
Press [ ] [ ] [UP] [DOWN] to move the flat table.
Move the head gap sensor as close as possible to the print surface until they are in a position where they
are just about to touch.
This step can be performed with the front cover open.
When you press [ ] here, the screen in the figure is displayed. Press [
] to return to the original screen. Pressing [ENTER] starts automatic
height detection. During automatic detection, the head gap sensor
comes into contact with the media.
When the location is set, press [ENTER].
