Installing the driver

Use the USB cable to connect the VariOS to your computer.

Set the VariOS’s
power switch
to the
ON
position.

The
Add New Hardware Wizard
dialog box will appear.
Click
[Next]
.

Select “Search for the best driver for
your device,”
and click
[Next]
.

Check the “Specify a location” box,
input the following into the location field,
and click
[Next] .
D:\ENGLISH\DRIVER\USB_98ME

The screen will indicate “Windows driver
file search for the device: Roland VariOS USB Driver.”
Click [Next] .

The screen will indicate “Windows has finished installing the software
that your new hardware device requires.”
Click [Finish] .

The drive name “D:” may
be different depending on
your system. Type the
name of your CD-ROM
drive.
