Step 2 : Installing the Roland DG Software Package
What Is the Roland DG Software Package?
The following pieces of software are included on the Roland DG Software Package CD. "(*1)" indicates drivers
and software that are required for the operation of this machine.
Windows Driver(*1)
This is a Windows-based driver required for sending data from a computer
to the machine.
VPanel for MDX-50
(*1)
This is the dedicated software for controlling this machine. This software is
used to operate this machine and configure various settings.
SRP Player
This is a piece of CAM software that imports general-use 3D data - such as
IGES, DXF (3D), or STL - and outputs tool paths to the machine.
ClickMILL
This software is useful for post-processing of existing workpieces such as
"pocket-cutting" to cut off the inside of a shape of a graphic, "clipping" to
cut out the workpiece to the shape of the specified graphic, and "surface
leveling" to flatten the surface of the workpiece.

A display with at least 16-bit color and a resolution of 1024 × 768 or more
is recommended (a video card that supports Open GL is recommended).

(*1) This software is a 32-bit application and therefore runs in WOW64 (Windows-On-Windows 64) when
running on 64-bit versions of Windows operating systems.
(*2) Internet Explorer 8.0 or later is required.
(*3) Operations have not been verified in virtual Windows environments such as Hyper-V and Virtual PC.
