Trace Mode
Defines the update mode for subsequent traces.
Clear Write
Overwrite mode (default): the trace is overwritten by each measure-
ment.
Max Hold
The maximum value is determined over several measurements and
displayed. The R&S
VSE saves each trace point in the trace memory
only if the new value is greater than the previous one.
Min Hold
The minimum value is determined from several measurements and
displayed. The R&S
VSE saves each trace point in the trace memory
only if the new value is lower than the previous one.
Average
The average is formed over several measurements.
View
The current contents of the trace memory are frozen and displayed.
Blank
Removes the selected trace from the display.

DISPlay[:WINDow<n>]:TRACe<t>:MODE
Detector
Defines the trace detector to be used for trace analysis.
Auto
The detector for the respective trace is selected automatically.
Positive Peak
The positive detector displays the maximum level that has been
detected during the measurement.
Negative Peak
The negative peak detector displays the minimum level that has been
detected during the measurement.
Average
The average detector displays the average value that has been
detected during the measurement.
RMS
The RMS detector displays the RMS average value that has been
detected during the measurement.

Exporting Traces
Access
: [TRACE] > "Trace Config" > "Trace / Data Export"
The functionality to export traces is similar to the Spectrum application. When you
export a trace, the R&S
VSE writes the trace data into an ASCII file. You can use the
exported data for further evaluation in other programs like a spreadsheet.
