RF OUT
Rear panel output for RF signal (option R&S
SMF-B81).
This option is recommended for use of the instrument in a 19" rack. Installing the
instrument in a 19" rack requires a rack adapter (refer to data sheet for Order No.).
NOTICE!
Maximum Input Levels. Do not overload the RF output. The maximum per-
misssible reverse power is specified in the data sheet.
EFC
Input for external EFC signal (external frequency control).
REF IN
Input for external reference signal.

REF OUT
Output of internal reference signal.
It can be adjusted whether the internal or the external signal is to be output.

MARKER
Output for user-programmable marker signal used for brightness control of an oscillo-
scope. This output becomes active when the sweep run has reached the marker.
BLANK
Output for triggering and blanking an oscilloscope or for PEN LIFT control of an XY
recorder.
TRIGGER
Input for triggering the sweep in the "Extern Single" and "Extern Step" modes.
STOP
Input and output for stopping the sweep in all modes.
This connector is bidirectional:

Used as an input, the sweep can be stopped by an external network analyzer.
●
Used as an output, the generator can stop the sweep of an external network ana-
lyzer.
V/GHZ
Output for supplying a voltage which is proportional to the frequency.
