dows/CVI drivers, created on the basis of LabWindows/CVI
2012, are also available.
9.3.4 Webserver
The Ethernet interface offers a web server, which can be
used with a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer). The fol-
lowing functions are supported by the Webserver:
❙Display of the device information
❙Display of the Ethernet setting
❙Password setting (security)
9.4 IEEE 488.2 / GPIB
In addition to the GPIB functions which are available via
USB TMC class, the ¸HMC8012 is optionally available
with an integrated GPIB interface (¸HMC8012-G). This
solution is particularly attractive for customers who already
have an existing GPIB environment. With minimum efforts,
an old instrument can be replaced by a ¸HMC8012
model.
Configure the settings in the ¸HMC8012 for all neces-
sary parameters after you select IEEE488 as interface and
press the soft menu key Parameter.

The Ethernet password can only be reset via HMC Ethernet menu
(Ethernet --> Parameter --> Reset). The web browser function
„Reset“ only resets the web browser parameter entry.
The optional IEEE 488 interface (GPIB) can only be factory-fitted as
it is necessary for this purpose to open the instrument and break
the guarantee seal.
