Delay Comp
For the calculation of the measurement results, the time shift between the signals
before and after the DUT must be compensated.
"Manual"
If the delay of the DUT is known and constant, the entry of this known
delay value reduces the calculation time. The value can be entered
as "Fix Delay".
"Auto"
The delay of the DUT is calculated for each single measurement and
indicated as "Meas Delay". Use this setting if the delay of the DUT is
unknown or instable.
For signals with very low correlation to the generated chirp signal the
“Auto” delay measurement might be too inaccurate. In this case it is
recommended to use the manual delay compensation.

Max Delay
Maximum expected settling time of the DUT. The measurement time is extended by
this time. "Max Delay" ensures that the complete chirp signal is recorded and calcula-
ted. This value can be longer than the actual delay. The trailing silence does not dis-
turb the result.

Resolution
Frequency resolution = (Sampling rate / 2) / FFT size of the FFT used internally for the
chirp

based measurement.
The "Sweep Time" set in the "Chirp" generator function determines the "Resolution".

Points
Number of points in the chirp result.
The "Sweep Time" set in the "Chirp" generator function determines the number of
points. The trace data (suffix 2 to 9) described under
Chapter 5.29.2, "Data Buffers"
on page 427 is available with this number of points.
