2.4.8 Installing Plug&Play Printers

Plug&play printers can be easily installed under Windows XP:
After you connect and switch on a printer, Windows XP automatically detects the printer and
installs the associated driver, provided that the driver is contained in the Windows XP
installation.
If Windows XP does not find the printer driver, it will prompt you to enter a path for the
associated installation files.
Some instrument models are delivered with a number of printer drivers in addition to the pre-
installed drivers. They are stored in the D:\I386 directory.
You can find a detailed step-by-step procedure in Appendix 

A

When you install printer drivers that are not pre-installed on the
instrument, the installation process will prompt you to specify the path
containing the new driver. This can be a memory stick or USB CD-ROM
