Common Instrument Settings

Remote command:

SW Update ← Inventory

Updates the R&S

EVSG1000 software using an update file on a connected USB

device.

The R&S

EVSG1000 automatically searches the USB device for new software. The

update file has the extension

.evs

and must be located in the main directory of the

USB device. The search may take a few seconds.

When the software has been found, press the [ENTER] key to confirm the message to
install the software.

Note:

Never remove the USB device or switch off the instrument during a software

update. Otherwise, an undefined software state might be the result.

Power supply and battery charge state

The currently used power supply and the charge state of the battery is indicated in the
status bar of the R&S

EVSG1000 display. The following status messages are availa-

ble:

"Mains"

No battery is installed in the instrument.

"Charge"

Battery is currently being charged.

"Bat"

The instrument is running on the battery power supply.
