Prerequisites:

The R&S
ETL is in operation.
●
The R&S
ETL is connected to the AC power supply.
●
The AC power switch on the rear panel is in position I.
●
The shutdown behavior is configured accordingly using the [SETUP] key.
For details, refer to the user manual or the help.
► Press the [ON/STANDBY] key on the front panel.
The R&S
ETL stores the current settings on its SSD and switches to standby (for
details on standby, refer to
Chapter 7.1, "Instrument States"
Shock hazard
Be aware that in standby, the R&S
ETL is still power-supplied.

Switching Off
DC power supply/battery pack
► Press the [ON/STANDBY] key on the front panel. The R&S
ETL changes into off
state.
AC power supply
Prerequisite: The shutdown behavior is configured accordingly using the [SETUP] key.
For details, refer to the user manual or the help.
1. Press the [ON/STANDBY] key on the front panel.
2. Change the AC power switch on the rear panel to position O, or disconnect the
R&S
ETL from the AC power supply.
The R&S
ETL changes into off state, if no alternative power supply is available.
The AC power switch also interrupts the power supply of the OCXO (OCXO Reference
Frequency option, R&S
FSL-B4). When you switch the R&S
ETL back on, be sure to
comply with the extended warm-up phase specified in the data sheet.
