Leap Seconds
Leap seconds is an adjustment to keep UTC close to the mean solar time. CDMA Sys-
tem Time keeps a track of leap second corrections to UTC but does not use these cor-
rections for physical adjustments to the System Time clock. This parameter is defined
in 3GPP2 C.S0024.

Sync Code
This setting will be applied if "Time Source" has been set to "Sync Code". The "Sync
Code" is an internally calculated value that allows at the same time settings of two
synchronized SUUs. Two SUUs in one R&S
CMW are automatically synchronized if
the software option for hybrid mode is present. In order to synchronize two SUUs in
two instruments, the multibox scenario needs to be used.
This requires option R&S CMW-KS888 (hybrid mode)

Apply Time At
The purpose of this parameter is to avoid unwanted time settings.
●
Signaling Unit Startup Only
With this selection, the time setting will only be applied at startup, or to be more
correct, once CDMA2000/1xEV-DO signaling are loaded on one SUU. For exam-
ple, after running GSM on a SUU, CDMA2000/1xEV-DO need to be reloaded and
the time setting needs to be updated. Switching between CDMA2000 and 1xEV-
DO signaling will not lead to an update of the time setting independent of the set-
tings of the other time setting parameters.
●
Next Signal On
This selection enforces one single update the next time the FWA (CDMA2000 or
1xEV-DO signaling) is switched on. After applying the time settings, the parameter
will be reset to "Startup Only" in order to avoid subsequent time updates.
●
Every Signal On
This selection enforces the update of the time settings every time the FWA is
switched on. This setting is performance critical because it will cost 3-4 seconds on
every Signal On.

2.3.8 Layer
In the "Layer" section in the "1xEV-DO Signaling Configuration" dialog you can config-
ure the different layers of the 1xEV-DO protocol stack.
