SMS: Test Procedure
1. Configure the R&S
CMW to receive messages.
2. Set the MS to registered state.
3. Send the SMS message from MS to the R&S
CMW.
The R&S
CMW receives the message and stores it. Also the display "MS Info >
Messaging (SMS) Info > Last Received Message" is updated.
If "Concatenate Sequential SMS" is enabled, the R&S
CMW stores large SMS
messages in one single file with several data segments instead of multiple sepa-
rate files.

Handling of Large SMS Messages
Large SMS will be received as sequential SMS segments.
If an MS sends an SMS message which exceeds the maximum physical size to be
sent at once, the message is split into multiple SMS "segments" of the maximum
allowed size. Each "segment" constitutes a new message by itself with a slightly differ-
ent header. If the parameter "Concatenate Sequential SMS" is enabled, the R&S
CMW
stores all received segments in one file (as several data segments). Otherwise the seg-
ment messages are stored in separate files.

4.2.16 Trigger Signals
The CDMA2000 signaling application provides trigger signals that can be used by
other R&S
CMW applications to synchronize to the generated CDMA2000 forward sig-
nal. This is especially useful to trigger CDMA2000 TX measurements (option
R&S CMW-KM800).
The available trigger signals are described below.
To address the trigger signals in remote commands, use the following strings, with <i>
replaced by the instance number of the signaling application:

"CDMA2000 Sig<i>: Event"
●
"CDMA2000 Sig<i>: Paging Frame (20.00 ms)"
●
"CDMA2000 Sig<i>: Power Control Frame (1.25 ms)"
●
"CDMA2000 Sig<i>: PP2S (2.00 s)"

"CDMA2000 Sig<i>: Super Frame (80.00 ms)"
●
"CDMA2000 Sig<i>: Sync Frame (26.67 ms)"
